Salvaged Technology is an R&D Material required for creating the Experimental Tech Upgrades in every R&D school. These upgrades offer double the chance of upgrading an item's quality level compared to standard superior upgrades.

This salvaged technology contains the secrets of another civilization's advancements. Through careful study, perhaps some elements of their tech can be adapted to your starship or character equipment.
Use Salvaged Technology to make the most advanced Technology Upgrade items in the Research + Development system.
Acquiring[]
Salvaged Technology can be obtained from the following sources:
- Guaranteed 1 x Salvaged Technology (in addition to material name) is rewarded on opening of any [Elite Queue R&D Material Reward Package (material name)] that is rewarded on a successful completion of Elite-difficulty Task Force Operations, or sometimes offered on the Exchange.
- Certain Admiralty System assignments:
- Those with the Scavenger Party event which rewards the [Package of Scavenged R&D Materials (Hazard Reward)] that has a chance
to reward 1-3 x Salvaged Technology. - Those rewarding [Package of R&D Materials (Assignment Reward - Tier 1)], [Tier 2] or [Tier 3] that each has a chance
to reward 1 x Salvaged Technology, see a full list here: Admiralty System Assignments.
- Those with the Scavenger Party event which rewards the [Package of Scavenged R&D Materials (Hazard Reward)] that has a chance
- Possible drop from any Lock Box.
- Sometimes offered on the Exchange.
