Star Trek Online: Refractions (or Season Twenty-eight: Refractions) is a seasonal, major story update for Star Trek Online released for PC on January 24, 2023 and in March 2023 for Console. It concludes the Terran Gambit story arc and celebrates 13 years of Star Trek Online.
Story[]
- The conclusion to the Mirror Universe arc. Emperor Crusher has merged with the Other and is on course to Earth, digitizing everything in its path. You and your allies must find a way to finally stop this threat. Wil Wheaton returns as Terran Emperor Wesley Crusher, along with Gates McFadden as Terran Dr. Beverly Crusher, and Chase Masterson as Terran Admiral Leeta.

- Two new patrols based on alternate and unseen events of the Terran Gambit story arc have been added under the Mirror Universe heading:
- “Jupiter Station Showdown (Sol System)”
- “Khonshu Khaibit (Eta Serpentis System)”
13 Year Anniversary Event[]
- This season was released alongside the 13 Year Anniversary Event 30-day Special Event.
- Completing the event will unlock the Tier 6 Compiler Science Dreadnought!
- Completion of the event requires 40 Progress Points. These points are earned from a set of Terran-themed activities, including various additions from the current release and previous Terran Gambit content:
- Completing episodes: “Eye of the Storm” or “The Fujiwhara Effect” gives 2 Progress.
- Completing TFOs: “Bird Cage” or “Iuppiter Iratus” gives 2 Progress.
- 2 Progress can be earned once every 20 hours.
- This event has a Buyout option that costs at maximum 6000 Zen which scales with current progress in the event. Each day of progress lowers the price by 300 Zen.
- Once the main event is complete, earning progress every day gives a scaling Dilithium Reward. See the Special Event page for more info.
