Star Trek Online: Shadow's Advance (or Season Twenty-five: Shadow's Advance) is a seasonal, major story update for Star Trek Online released for PC on January 25, 2022, and March 15, 2022 for Console. It continues the Terran Gambit story arc and celebrates 12 years of Star Trek Online.
Systems[ | ]
Slot Increases[ | ]
- Lifetime Subscription benefits will see an increase in the baseline slots of an account or character.
- Non-Lifetime Subscribers will also see an increase in slots.
- For Players Who have Not Purchased a Lifetime Subscription
- Base Dry Dock Slots will increase to 10
- Base Shared Bank slots will increase to 20
- This means you will be able to access the Shared Bank without purchasing anything.
- For Current and Future Lifetime Subscription Purchasers:
- Base Character Slots will increase to 13
- Base Dry Dock Slots will increase to 15
- Base Shared Bank Slots will increase to 40
- Base Inventory Slots will increase to 144
- Base Bank Slots will increase to 204
- Base Bridge Officer Slots will increase to 12 at level 10, and 16 at level 65.
- Base Active Ship Slots will increase to 6 at level 10, and 15 at level 65.
- Base Costume Slots will increase to 4 at level 0 and 6 at level 65

- In addition to the content listed below, many ships received model reworks and enhancements throughout the Season.

Story[ | ]
- Admiral Kathryn Janeway has asked you to join her at Jupiter Station to try and find out why the Terrans attacked it. Introducing Kate Mulgrew, reprising her role as Kathryn Janeway, as well as the newly introduced Terran Marshal Janeway. Featuring the return of Chase Masterson as Admiral Leeta, Mary Wiseman as Mirror Captain Killy, and Kipleigh Brown as Mirror Captain Kuumaarke.
- Janeway has also been retroactively added to the Delta Quadrant missions that feature most of the rest of the cast of Star Trek: Voyager. You'll find the Admiral directing you on missions throughout that entire storyarc.
TFO[ | ]
- A new Task Force Operation has been added:
“Iuppiter Iratus”: Alongside the Enterprise, the Defiant and Voyager, players will defend Jupiter Station, which is under attack by Terran forces who are trying to steal undisclosed top secret data from the Alliance.
12 Year Anniversary Event[ | ]
- This season was released alongside the 12 Year Anniversary Event 30-day Special Event.
- Completing the event will unlock the Tier 6 Jarok Alliance Carrier.
- Completion of the event requires 40 Progress Points. These points are earned from a set of Terran-themed activities, including various additions from Season 24 and Season 25:
- Completing episodes: “Firewall” or “Red Shift” gives 2 Progress.
- Completing TFOs: “Operation Wolf” or “Iuppiter Iratus” gives 2 Progress.
- 2 Progress can be earned once every 20 hours.
- This event has a Buyout option that costs at maximum 6000 Zen which scales with current progress in the event. Each day of progress lowers the price by 300 Zen.
- Once the main event is complete, earning progress every day gives a scaling Dilithium Reward. See the Special Event page for more info.
