The Shran-class Light Pilot Escort is a Tier 6 Raider which may be flown by Starfleet characters, including Federation-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

Players can obtain this starship from the Zen Store for 3,000 . This ship can be purchased individually, or as part of the Discovery Operations Pack for 12,000 .

Purchasing this starship will unlock a Fleet Ship Module discount when purchasing the Fleet Magee Light Pilot Escort.

Overview

Like their predecessor, the Shran-class Light Escorts began as a concept from a team of engineers trying to meet a variety of common wartime requests - a starship that didn't require too many resources to build or fly, one that packed a serious punch, and one that had the flexibility to adapt to the design at hand. Due a combination of the prototypes found at Yard 39 and convergent design, that concept ended up becoming a direct successor to the Magee, but one built up to modern standards and with the ability to realize what were just dreams of some of the Magee's original engineers.

Magee class	SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Magee class was in service in the mid-23rd century. One of the smallest ship types of its era, its most distinctive feature are two warp nacelles that intersect the saucer hull.
Shran class	SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship The Shran class is directly inspired by the Magee class from the 23rd century. The shape of the ship's saucer is similar to that of the Akira-class Heavy Escort, with two bulky nacelles intersecting the hull.

Experimental Weapon

The Shran-class Light Pilot Escort comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
This vessel comes with the unique [Hypercharged Field Projector] which deals Electrical Damage in a 360° targeting arc.

Pilot Maneuvers

Pilot ships can perform a sudden maneuver in each horizontal direction: Forward, Backward, Left or Right. Executing each maneuver will rapidly reposition your starship while granting very brief damage immunity, but costs all available thruster fuel which takes several seconds to recover.

Raider Flanking

Frigates, Light Escorts, Raiders, and Scout Ships come with a built-in passive damage boost available when striking an enemy's rear arc. To support their high turn rate and maneuverability, standard raider flanking grants:

• +33% damage to NPC enemy when attacking rear arc.
• +11% damage to Player enemy when attacking rear arc.

T6-X upgrade

By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the Shran-class Light Pilot Escort may be upgraded to T6-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.

Note that upgrading the Fleet Magee Light Pilot Escort, the fleet version of the Shran Light Pilot Escort, will not apply the upgrade to this starship.

• The Shran Light Pilot Escort was included with the 5$ breast cancer donation pack for Groupees, along with the M'Chla Pilot Bird-of-Prey and the Pink Vanity Pack.
• The Shran-class was released as issue #14 in the Star Trek Online Starships Collection, represented by the U.S.S. Shran (NCC-91413).
• The model was revamped in 2021 as part of Season Twenty-four: Reflections and was given access to the new Type 7A hull material type.
