Story Arc: Age of Discovery

The Federation stands on the brink of destruction against a newly reunited Klingon Empire.

The Age of Discovery story arc is a chain of cross-faction missions available to all factions. The story content was slowly released over three seasons: Age of Discovery, Mirror of Discovery and Rise of Discovery.

The story arc takes place in 2256, during the Federation-Klingon War. The losses suffered during the training cruise will only deepen as the war with the Klingon Empire goes on. No one is safe. DSC Captains can experience these events prior to their arrival in the 25th century.

The Federation stands on the brink of destruction against a newly reunited Klingon Empire.

The Age of Discovery story arc is a chain of cross-faction missions available to all factions. The story content was slowly released over three seasons: Age of Discovery, Mirror of Discovery and Rise of Discovery.

An attempt to use a mycelium-based weapon in battle over Starbase One has led to a time displacement of J'Ula of House Mo'Kai and her fleet to 2410. To better prepare for a fight against her, Alliance forces have prepared Historical Tactical Simulations which detail the conflict between the Federation and the Klingon Empire in the mid-23rd century. Play through these simulations from the perspective of a Starfleet Captain of that time period.

“Task Force Operations: Age of Discovery” was added in 2018 as a wrapper for Task Force Operation “Defense of Starbase One”. It was removed in 2020. For DSC Starfleet captains, this wrapper was actually in the Klingon War arc.
