Something is stirring beneath the sands of the Planet of Galactic Peace.
The Wasteland story arc is a chain of cross-faction missions available to all factions. It is part of the main story progression for Romulan characters.
An investigation led by the Klingons has uncovered a conspiracy involving the Tal Shiar and one of the Great Klingon Houses. Someone within the Empire has been shipping weapons through a research facility in the Vor System to a Tal Shiar base somewhere in the Nimbus Sector. Romulan Intelligence has also received rumors of a lost cache of thalaron triggers being sold on the planet. Travel to Nimbus III, stop the thalaron triggers from falling in the wrong hands, locate the Tal Shiar base of operation and see if you can locate any of the missing Romulan citizens.
Horace Jones, a local trader, will be your contact in the Paradise City, but be careful - Tal Shiar aside, Nimbus III is one of the most dangerous places in the galaxy. The Federation has no control over the planet or its population. An Orion crime syndicate is in charge and they have eyes and ears everywhere.

- Prior to the release of Season Fifteen: Age of Discovery, the Wasteland arc was part of the main storyline for all factions. With Season 15, it is now only a part of the Romulan Republic main story progression and has been moved to "The Galaxy at Large" side content for others.

The Wasteland story arc is a chain of cross-faction missions available to all factions. The quest is part of "The Galaxy at Large" side content. It is set directly before the Romulan Mystery arc.
Romulan Republic Intelligence has received rumors of a lost cache of thalaron triggers being sold on the planet and has notified its allies in the Section 31 as well as Klingon Intelligence. An increased Tal Shiar activity has also been detected. Travel to Nimbus III and stop the thalaron triggers from falling into the wrong hands.
