The TR-116B Rifle - Sniper Rifle can be crafted as eitheror (with more crafting skill and luck) Mark XII item. It comes with 5 pre-selected modifiers, and another random 6th modifier ([CrtD], [CrtH], [Dmg] or [Run]). At quality it will have the 7th random modifier.
[CrtD], [CrtH], [Dmg] modifiers can each be re-engineered into any other one of them, including a possibility for multiple modifiers (e.g. [Dmg]x3 is perfectly feasible on an + item). [4xShPen] modifier (and if present [Run] modifier) cannot be re-engineered.
Atquality, the Rifle will gain the 8th modifier, either [Dm/CrH], [Dm/CritD] or [CrtD/CrtH], which can be re-engineered into any one of the 3.
It is implied, that the Rifle comes with an inherent 20% shield penetration, like it's predecessor; in combination with the four equal [ShPen] modifiers (each adding +20% Shield Penetration), this stacks to the weapon's 100% Shield Penetration.
Each attempt of a quality upgrade fromto requires additionally 144,072 Technology Points.
This item cannot be bought from any vendor, however sometimes it can be bought on Exchange.
- The TR-116B is one of the few weapons the Borg cannot adapt to, due to dealing kinetic damage.
- The TR-116B is also the only weapon at present to be able to completely bypass enemy personal shields without the aid of other powers.
