The Tal Shiar Khnial-class Adapted Battlecruiser is a Tier 5 (Level 40) Battlecruiser which may be flown by characters of any faction.

Players can obtain this starship from the Exchange, though supplies are limited. It was previously available from the Lobi Crystal Consortium, but has since been retired and can no longer be purchased there, so no new Packs are entering circulation. The boxed ship is not bound and so may be traded to other players or bought and sold on the Exchange for energy credits under the name [Special Requisition Pack - Tal Shiar Adapted Battle Cruiser].

Overview

The Tal Shiar’s use of adapted Borg technology has allowed a select portion of their fleet’s starships to undergo an incredible metamorphosis, becoming far more powerful than their base components could have ever been on their own. Although the techniques used in this process are extremely dangerous, no one can deny the potency of the vessels that have undergone this transformation.

The Tal Shiar Khnial Adapted Battlecruiser is a powerful Tal Shiar vessel based on the design of the D'deridex and upgraded with adapted Borg technology. By augmenting the D'deridex, the Tal Shiar designed this vessel to focus on crippling and disabling enemy ships, or even turning them against one another. Due to its advanced technology, the Khnial class has access to Sensor Analysis, allowing to gradually increase its damage dealt to a single target, based on how long it keeps that target as its focus.

Heavily resembling Nero's Narada from the 2009 Star Trek, the Khnial class bears little, if any, resemblance to the sleek lines of Romulan Warbirds. The ship's jagged fore extrusions and angular appearance are due to incorporation of Borg technology in the ship's design.

This ability is part of the Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Technology Set, which also includes [Console - Universal - Shrapnel Torpedo Launcher]. This console is obtainable with the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer, but can also be equipped on the Tal Shiar Khnial Adapted Battlecruiser. For each item added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.

Sensor Analysis

Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.

The Tal Shiar Khnial Adapted Battlecruiser comes equipped with a unique [Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Warp Core] which boosts ship's hull regeneration, as well as Auxiliary power. It also increases the maximum Warp speed in Sector Space.

[Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Warp Core] is also part of the Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Technology Set. Utilizing both the Warp Core and consoles found on the Tal Shiar Adapted Vessels unlocks a passive ability which deals additional Exotic Particle damage when using offensive science abilities.

By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the Tal Shiar Khnial-class Adapted Battlecruiser may be upgraded to T5-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.
