The Tal Shiar Llaihr-class Adapted Destroyer is a Tier 5 (Level 40) Destroyer which may be flown by characters of any faction.

Players can obtain this starship as a ultra rare drop from the [Tal Shiar Lock Box]. It was retired from the Infinity Lock Box when its Tier 6 counterpart was released. The boxed ship is not bound and so may be traded to other players or bought and sold on the Exchange for energy credits under the name [Special Requisition Pack - Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer].

Overview

The Tal Shiar’s use of adapted Borg technology has allowed a select portion of their fleet’s starships to undergo an incredible metamorphosis, becoming far more powerful than their base components could have ever been on their own. Although the techniques used in this process are extremely dangerous, no one can deny the potency of the vessels that have undergone this transformation.

The Tal Shiar Llaihr Adapted Destroyer is a powerful Tal Shiar vessel based on the design of the Dhelan and enhanced with adapted Borg technology. The Llaihr class (Romulan for "death") trades some of the speed and maneuverability of the Dhelan for added resilience and advanced technology. Unlike most Tactical vessels, the Llaihr class has access to Sensor Analysis, which gradually increases the damage the vessel deals to a single target, the longer it keeps that target focused.

Bearing a vague resemblance to the Dhelan Warbird on which it is derived from, the Llaihr class is still recognisable as having been a Romulan Warbird at some stage, with a distinct main body/command section and forward-swept wings. Despite this, the ship's altered Borg appearance gives it a distinctly insectile feel.

The Tal Shiar Llaihr Adapted Destroyer comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Shrapnel Torpedo Launcher].

• Shrapnel Torpedo Barrage

This ability is part of the Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Technology Set, which also includes normal or enhanced version of the [Console - Universal - Indoctrination Nanite Dispersal System]. This consoles are obtainable with T5 or T6 version of the Tal Shiar Adapted Battle Cruiser, but can also be equipped on the Tal Shiar Llaihr Adapted Destroyer. For each item added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.

Cloak

The Tal Shiar Llaihr-class Adapted Destroyer has a cloak that allows the ship to cloak when not in combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.

Llaihr's Tier-6 variant, the Mandukar Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Enhanced Shrapnel Torpedo Launcher] which comes with additional passive boosts that Llaihr's version of the console doesn't have.

Experimental Weapon

The Tal Shiar Llaihr-class Adapted Destroyer comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.

Sensor Analysis

Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.

The Tal Shiar Llaihr Adapted Destroyer comes equipped with a unique [Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Warp Core] which boosts ship's hull regeneration, as well as Auxiliary power. It also increases the maximum Warp speed in Sector Space.

[Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Warp Core] is also part of the Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Technology Set. Utilizing both the Warp Core and consoles found on the Tal Shiar Adapted Vessels unlocks a passive ability which deals additional Exotic Particle damage when using offensive science abilities.
