Since Surface Tension is set in 2410 and the game's storyline is progressing in that direction, I say we add a list of all missions/story arcs that take place in 2409 here.--Meepmeep189 (talk) 13:39, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Here are the reasons for my revisions and extension of the timeline: The evidence: The Breen Arc occurs 17-18 months after the beginning of the game. The Enterprise-F is launched on February 10th, 2410, according to its dedication plaque. Using this knowledge, and assuming that Cryptic changes year only between arcs, the Cardassian arc is clearly the first in 2410. This keeps adequate distribution of missions throughout the year. For 2409: Early -> Tutorial + arcs before wasteland. Mid -> wasteland. Late -> Romulan arc. (And we KNOW this one is in 2409).--jedi1234 (talk) 7:40, May 29 2015 (UTC)

Removed incorrect data on 2409. 2410, 2411 pages. For Example - Surface Tension is the first mission to take place in 2410. The Enterprise-F launches in 2409, not 2410. See 2410, 2411 talk pages for further analysis. SFC3 (talk) 22:14, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

I agree that we should continue using "Surface Tension" as the official starting point of 2410. I can see the point that the Delta Recruitment shenanigans place the Breen arc "approximately" 18 months in the future from the tutorial, but I think we need to go with explicit game dialogue to determine the date. As of right now, "Surface Tension" is the only mission that provides such info. Jeffel82 (talk) 22:45, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

I have proof. Here is the Enterprise-F dedication plaque: http://thomasthecat.tumblr.com/image/24659934507 . The stardate maps to February 10th, 2410. Also, the temporal agents actually say it is exactly 18 months. Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx4TQ8Xxd9Y&t=5m7s . It is known that the Enterprise-F is launched during Boldly They Rode due to the destruction of the Belfast. Therefore, one can easily extrapolate from the number of missions that 2410 starts at the beginning of the Cardassian Arc. Perhaps the start of 2411 is more sketchy, but 2411 starting at the end of Surface Tension makes the most sense; DJC had to launch an expedition to the Dyson Sphere, setup a Command Center, meet the Voth, and declare war on the Voth all in 2410 (or 2409, if you believe otherwise). The same can be said about the occupation of the Jenolan Sphere; DJC had to send another expedition after Surface Tension, clear out the Undine there, setup a command post, build a transwarp (because queuing on the other Sun end of the gateway is outright dangerous), and secure the nearby area. Regardless of what you decide, I do want my Romulan Insurgency page on there - actual pages on the conflicts have been lacking.--jedi1234 (talk) 12:59, May 29 2015 (UTC)

All I can say is (A) mapping Stardates to real dates is a sketchy practice at best; (B) That dedication plaque is not currently readable at any point in game; and (C) the very video you linked to states that the temporal incursion was a maximum of 18 months in the future, meaning it could have been less. I could also point you to a dev blog indicating that it was still considered 2409 when Legacy of Romulus was released, and all of the pre-Dyson Sphere missions already existed at that point, as well as a different dev blog saying they turned the clock to 2410 as of Season 9. Bottom line: we all know the STO chronology is sketchy as hell, but I think we have to follow the few clear declarations of the date in game - currently, that's Surface Tension, and nothing else. I'll also add that the Tales of the War blogs place the Iconian invasion at two days before Stardate 87305.1, which according to the same converter you used would be April 22, 2010. Even by your math, that would mean everything between the Cardassian arc and current events takes about two months. It's not a good solution, and I think the best way out is to ignore the dedication plaque and rely on the more official blogs and in-game sources. Jeffel82 (talk) 07:46, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
The titlecard for the cutscene in Cold Storage for Delta Recruits shows that the mission takes place in June 2410.I can provide a screencap if necessary. Garhdo (talk) 00:44, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
