This is great, exactly what I was looking for, but it doesn't seem like head1 works. It's not showing up in your example. And is there any way to change the color of the text boxes, like you can for the headers?

Can you give me an example of a tooltip where the body text isn't white? –TerranRich (ETC) @ 11:06, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Is it possible to change 'cost' to be 'value', and use 'cost' as the cost to obtain the item, as the 'value' marker in the in-game tooltips is talking about the sell price to vendors. Currently 'cost' on the wiki is referring to 'value' and it's a bit confusing :S The tooltips are looking rather awesome though, props! Make a couple things optional...[]

The cost of an item, and the rarity. Unless we have another template for things that are used for the Federation Outreach and Aid Programs. See the page Provisions for an example. The item in game had no price (not even 0) or rarity. <span=help title="bobalobabingbong's User Page">~bobalobabingbong -=[ <span=help title="boba's Talk Page">T + <span=help title="boba's Contributions">C ]=- @ 20:53, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

I want to second that. I believe it is more reasonable to lay out the differences in some gear like in Phaser Beam Array in tables rather than in 11 infoboxes. Then it's a good thing, if one can drop the cost in the single infobox covering the common attributes.--RachelGarrett 17:51, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Header limits[]

Is the limit on headers for this template 5? I can't seem to add more than that, and have them show up. That's going to be troublesome for Kits that have to use a bunch a headers. Such as:

| name = {{PAGENAME}} Mk IX
| rarity = rare
| type = Kit
| who = KDF Science Officer, Starfleet Science Officer
| rank = Admiral
| head1 = Anesthizine Gas II
| text1 = AoE Fragile Hold and Slow
:Creates a level 45 Anesthizine Gas Cloud for 30 sec
| head2 = Triage III
| text2 = AoE Heal
:+222 Hit Points
:+50% All Damage Resistance for 5 sec
| head3 = Sonic Pulse III
| head4 = Expose Attack
| head4color = yellow
| text4 = PBAoE Damage, Slow, Interrupt and Knockback
:30 Physical Damage (1.2 DPS)
:85% chance: Knocks back +3.2 feet
:-75% Run Speed for 10 sec
| head5 = Tachyon Harmonic III
| head6 = Expose Attack
| head6color = yellow
| text6 = AoE Shield Damage
:50% chance: Knocks back +5 feet
:-75 Target Shields
:Destroys force fields
| cost = 10,113
| unit = EC

Very Rare[]

Template needs adjustment so it parses "Very Rare" as a quality properly as well as "veryrare" --Flibby 12:15, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

New posts on the bottom my friend :) <span=help title="bobalobabingbong's User Page">~bobalobabingbong -=[ <span=help title="boba's Talk Page">T + <span=help title="boba's Contributions">C ]=- @ 14:25, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

"Pickup/Equip" now case-insensitive[]

Just a heads-up. Karika 15:14, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Season 4 changes[]

(Normalized) has been removed for the smaller gray centered text after rank: "Values do not reflect skills or other modifiers". If this could be made to center and have a blank line after it (which should be the default, with or without normalized), that'd be great. I couldn't quite get it right when I tried. --MatthewM 03:57, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

After some trial and error, I was able to get this to work. By adding "normalized = yes" to the infobox after the rank, the relevant items can be updated for their Season 4 wording. --MatthewM 08:03, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Error with long infoboxes[]

It appears that the infoboxes are losing their blue backgrouund after a certain length (see MVAM or the template example). --MatthewM 15:40, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, should have made those common styles. Kinda expected we'd be changing the color of those per skin too, but the backgrounds ended up the same on each skin. It's fixed now. Eyes User-Eyes-Sig.png 18:04, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

text# in bold ?[]

According to the doc for text1

text1 (required) - This is the main text of the item's description, and can be indented as shown above. The first line of text comes right after the equal sign (=), but anything thereafter can include new lines and the ":" indentation wiki code. ◦ You can include up to 5 head/subhead/text sets.
◦Anything in bold wiki code will be shown in the blue color, reserved for abilities that the item offers, etc.

It says anything in bold will be blue colored like in-game. I couldn't get this to work. Is this feature of the template broken? --Ripley 10:50, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

categories placment when used in a talk page[]

Using the template in a discussion page tags the discussion page for the categories of the item (e.g. very rare). If possible the template should be adjusted to not do this when used in a namespace outside ?main?. (e.g. talk) -- Talon Baily 20:00, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Optional cost/unit[]

Unit icons (Energy credit icon.png,Refined dilithium icon.png) were no longer showing up since the cost was made optional so we couldn't tell which currency is it. I reverted it back to previous setup. Some adjustments are needed to make it work. --Damixon (talk) 10:25, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
