.
Overview[]
Sleek, aggressive, and armed to the teeth, this light and maneuverable craft represents the pinnacle of modern Terran engineering. It's streamlined and lightweight design is a stark departure in ship construction philosophy from the Terran propensity toward enormous citadels and imposing cruisers, yet this menacing vessel has proven itself a capable strike craft that anyone would be foolish to underestimate based solely on its size.
This ship comes equipped with Agony Phaser Quad Cannons, a Terran equivalent to the Quad Phaser Cannons found equipped on the prime universe’s Defiant class starships. These powerful weapons are built with the unique quality of occasionally dealing additional damage-over-time to foes, rather than being able to knock subsystems offline. They still draw additional Engine Power when firing, just like their counterparts.
Class variants
Class | Information |
---|---|
![]() |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Defiant class was the first of the Tactical Escort designs, with a prototype originally designed to fight the Borg. The project ultimately failed at Utopia Planetia because its initial engine designs tore the ship apart, though then Engineer Miles Edward O'Brien took the project under his wing and corrected most of its issues. The class design later entered production due to the Dominion threat. |
![]() Nose art variants |
SKIN UNLOCK: Legendary Defiant Pilot Warship, 30,000 ![]() The Legendary Pilot Warship includes five new 'Saucer' part variants based on the Defiant-class starship featuring "nose art" inspired by historical dogfighters and the Defiant's own canonical 'starship development patch.' Each piece of art represents a conflict the Defiant-class has seen service in over the course of Star Trek Online's history. |

SKIN UNLOCK: Free Launched in response to the fallout from the Khitomer Accords in 2399, the Gallant class was born. These ships were made to fight on the front lines of Borg conflict. Gallant is a variant of Defiant, just as capable and bares just as many teeth. The Gallant Refit ship parts must be selected manually through Ship Customization and are not part of a starship preset. |

![]() |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Vigilant was a design inspired by the Defiant class. It is just as powerful and nimble but is larger and features an updated nacelle design. The Vigilant is also equipped with a multipurpose space that is adaptable to any situation including relaxation or training. The Vigilant Refit ship parts must be selected manually through Ship Customization and are not part of a starship preset. |

SKIN UNLOCK: Sao Paulo Tactical Escort Refit, 150,000 ![]() OR Legendary Defiant Pilot Warship, 30,000 ![]() The Sao Paulo class is a 25th century refit of the famed Defiant class. It has exposed, forward-swept warp nacelles and a more faceted main deflector. It also has the white hull texture common to refit vessels. |
![]() |
SKIN UNLOCK: Valiant Tactical Escort, 3,000 ![]() OR Legendary Defiant Pilot Warship, 30,000 ![]() The Valiant-class Tactical Escort is based upon the highly successful Defiant-class design. Unlike the Defiant, which was designed specifically to combat the Borg, the Valiant class was built with the Federation's new enemies in mind. |

The Wild Weasel is extremely sturdy for a fighter craft, but even it will eventually be destroyed by the punishment it calls down upon itself. This pet may only be created once every 45 seconds. |
Abilities[]
Universal consoles[]
The Terran Adamant Heavy Raider comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Agony Redistributor].
Additionally, the Terran Adamant Heavy Raider can equip consoles from the Stealth Fighter Set, obtained from other Defiant variants. The Agony Phaser Quad Cannons obtained with the Adamant form part of this set.
Active Sensor Arrays
As an Intelligence starship, the Terran Adamant Heavy Raider is capable of deploying an Intel sensor drone with the Gather Intelligence ability.
While the target is Vulnerable, one of three Expose Vulnerability abilities can be used. These powerful abilities find a critical weakness in the targeted foe and allow players to briefly exploit it.
Expose Vulnerability: Critical Systems
Expose Vulnerability: Defenses
Expose Vulnerability: Weapon Systems
Intelligence vessels also have a built-in passive ability which renders them undetectable at long range.
Battle Cloak
The Terran Adamant-class Heavy Raider has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Raider Flanking
Frigates, Light Escorts, Raiders, and Scout Ships come with a built-in passive damage boost available when striking an enemy's rear arc. To support their high turn rate and maneuverability, standard raider flanking grants:
- +33% damage to NPC enemy when attacking rear arc.
- +11% damage to Player enemy when attacking rear arc.
Experimental Weapon[]
The Terran Adamant-class Heavy Raider comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
This vessel comes equipped with the [Terran Repeating Warhead Launcher]. The specialized warhead launchers have a narrow firing arc, but fire multiple times at your chosen foe, dealing repeated kinetic damage. A portion of this damage bypasses shields, and critical hits with this weapon will hit harder by default than that of other weaponry.
Specialization seating
The Terran Adamant-class Heavy Raider features the following specialist seats:
Commander Tactical/Intelligence
Lieutenant Universal/Temporal Operative

Hull strength[]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.15 for the Terran Adamant-class Heavy Raider), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.

Notes[]
- Owning the Terran Adamant Heavy Raider will unlock the following costume variants for use: Defiant (Mirror), Adamant, Adamant (Mirror).
- While the Adamant can indeed equip the Stealth Fighter set, the 3-piece "Battle Cloak" bonus is somewhat redundant due to this ship's built-in Battle Cloak.
- Conversely, the KDF version of the Stealth Fighter set can grant the Adamant the Overcloak bonus, and includes the Subspace Jumper console, which synergizes perfectly with the Adamant's Raider Flanking.
