Impulse Engines are the baseline starship propulsion system. They offer a balance of speed at all power levels.

The Tetryon-Plasma Impulse Engines grants a +32 bonus to Warp Core Potential skill. The Tetryon-Plamsa[sic] can also be ejected behind our[sic] ship. Any enemy ship that passes through the Tetryon-Plasma cloud will be slowed and may have its engines knocked offline. This engine can only be equipped on small crafts like shuttle or fighters.

These engines can currently only be acquired from the Zen Store by purchasing the Yellowstone Class Runabout for 500Zen small icon.png. They are a Bind on Pickup item.

System: Warp Core. Eject Tetryon Warp Plasma creates a cloud of Tetryon Plasma gas behind your ship. Enemy ships passing into the plasma will have their turn rate and impulse speed reduced and may have their engines knocked off-line. Any cloaked ships in the Tetryon Plasma will be revealed. Tetryon Plasma does not deal any damage.

Tetryon-Plasma Impulse Engines are level-less and so do not have a mark number. Instead this Engine scales with the player meaning their Flight Speed and Turn Rate are proportional to the player's current level.

Tetryon-Plasma Impulse Engines are not upgradable.
