• “Beyond the Nexus”: Starfleet receives a distress call from the Forrestal when the Nexus passes through the Milky Way in 2410; Starfleet dispatches the U.S.S. Madison and U.S.S. Challenger to investigate, along with the player.

• The Forrestal is likely named after the U.S.S. Forrestal, an aircraft carrier in service with the United States Navy from 1956 to 1993, which suffered severe damage from an explosion and fire aboard the ship in 1967.
