The U.S.S. Kelso was a Federation starship in service to Starfleet in the late 24th Century.
In 2395, the vessel was destroyed with all hands lost. After it was uncovered that the vessel had been testing an experimental cloaking device at the time, relations with the Klingon and Romulan Empires began to deteriorate.
