The U.S.S. Rapier is a Rapier-class escort in service to Starfleet, and lead ship of her class.
In 2403, the Rapier departed on her maiden voyage - a routine trip through the Bajoran wormhole to survey planets in the Gamma Quadrant; however, the vessel never emerged from the wormhole, and was never heard from again. Starfleet believed that the Rapier had been destroyed. At the time, she contained technology that is now standard on Starfleet vessels.

- “Rapier”: In 2409, Deep Space 9 receives a distress signal from the Rapier, and the player is sent to find the ship, rescue any survivors, and recover any remaining technology from the ship. The player discovers that the Rapier was captured by the Dominion, but manages to recover the ship and escort it back to Deep Space 9. The Rapier's crew are brought to Deep Space 9 to receive medical attention and counseling from an experienced team including Samantha Wildman.
