Please don't change the herald console icons[]

While I understand the reason for changing those icons, they are currently mismatched in-game, we are expecting it to get fixed. --Emzi0767 (talk) 23:28, 27 December 2015 (UTC)

Do you know if Herald icons were changed in-game? If they remained the same, I think we should match it here on wiki as it is the current "canon". I don't have access to those consoles so can't check. --Damixon (talk) 11:56, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
They were never changed. I agree. I'll change them. --PiralDorrm (talk) 11:57, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Cool, we can easily revert it back if needed. --Damixon (talk) 22:31, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Updates of Kit Module Information[]

I've noticed that you've been removing the old information on the kit module pages relating to the old skills, but I don't think you realize that the kit modules still are based on skills, namely the new skills themselves. Can you please refrain from updating the modules if you're not going to help point them to the new skills? Vegeta50024 (talk) 16:55, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

I've started working on kit module pages long before new skill tree was introduced, so I was not removing this sections because they are no longer valid, but because this info shouldn't have been on those pages in fist place. (and I do realize kit modules are still affected by skills). However, I was busy, and was only able to start working on science modules today (eng and tac are both finished). I've already discussed this with someone and we agreed that skills should be listed on the ability page, not the kit module one. Once I'm done editing Kit Module pages, I'll start creating Ability pages that are missing and I'll list all skills there. (Skills are also not listed on the Universal Console pages, but on the ability pages). Hope this solves any problem you have with me. --PiralDorrm (talk) 17:27, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry for assuming that you weren't being helpful. Perhaps maybe we could collaborate on getting the abilities pointed to the Kit Performance skill chain since every ability now falls off that regardless of the Captain's Profession? --Vegeta50024 (talk) 20:49, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

Great! I'll start replacing old skills on ability pages that are already created with Kit Performance. --PiralDorrm (talk) 06:04, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Ship article console and abilities[]

I was thinking about what can be done with ship article formatting and since you are working on that, here is my view. Overview section in some cases has console description which is already covered in Set or separate page for that console. So I was thinking we could cover console related stuff under abilities section, maybe even add "Console" subheading just below "Abilities" heading (because related abilities come from consoles). Console description could be removed completely with link to main article, but I'm not sure if people reading it want it there. What do you think on this? --Damixon (talk) 11:44, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

That sounds like a good idea. I'll try this out on Xindi-Reptilian Contortrix Escort. Tell me what you think. --PiralDorrm (talk) 11:55, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
I like the change, if no one has anything to add to it, I would make it official. Related to your suggestion on Variants section, I couldn't think of a solution to inconsistencies seen across the article so I'll give some thought to it, but that could work. Ship the page is about shouldn't have its own variant listed under "Variants" section in my opinion. Instead, intended text could be written just below the TOC, like Xindi-Reptilian Contortrix Escort‎‎ has (Overview heading isn't necessary, but it could stay). --Damixon (talk) 12:28, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
I experimented a little on Variant section, not sure if it is the right thing - check my Talk page. Some variants exist only as tailor option, without having a separate page on the wiki (I think, especially for lower tier ships) so description next to the image is useful in that case. I could be wrong though. --Damixon (talk) 13:15, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Nomination as administrator[]

I tried to get in touch with you via email, but I didn't get a response. I decided to go ahead with nominating you as a potential administrator according to our current policy, but feel free to turn it down if you wish. Your RfA page can be found here with instructions for accepting or declining. oOeyes User-Eyes-Sig.png 09:50, 29 August 2017 (UTC)

Hey, I've been away for the last week so I didn't see the email or this message until today. I'll gladly accept. :) --PiralDorrm (talk) 16:57, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

2411 source?[]

Hi, what's the source on the 2411 date? There's nothing in "Measure of Morality" itself that would indicate a new year, as far as I can tell, unless I missed something major; and I can't find any reference in the official blogs. --TimPendragon (talk) 06:51, 2 February 2020 (UTC)

Mentioned on the "Legacy" STO recap post, in the first map of the mission Measure of Morality Pt.1 as soon as you warp in through a Stardate. SFC (talk) 07:00, 2 February 2020 (UTC)

I'm not too sure about trusting info from -- there's been a history of inaccuracies from them, but I'd totally missed the stardate at the beginning of Measure of Morality, Part 1. Thanks! --TimPendragon (talk) 07:20, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
Our character also says "Welcome to 2411, Commander." when talking to Burnham. I think those two are enough for us to assume we are in 2411 for real this time. :) --PiralDorrm (talk) 09:10, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
Indeed. I missed it the first time around. Good to know for sure. Unfortunately, the stardate shown at the beginning of the episode is for late 2407, but hey, since when do we pay attention to those things anyway? :-P I wonder if we'll get any more clues as to whether anything earlier (like Victory is Life?) took place in 2411, or if Legacy is supposed to be the start of the New Year... --TimPendragon 09:49, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
It's possible they'll retcon it one day, same as they did with Surface Tension before. If I remember correctly, Surface Tension was originally the first mission set in 2410 (there was even a Foundry challenge themed around New Year's Eve). Later, with the release of Delta Recruitment, 2410 was moved to the Breen arc. --PiralDorrm (talk) 21:48, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
