Related to {{Infobox}} template, it should only be used for in-game pop-up tooltip information, not the detailed information that appears when you right-click an item and click "More Details". Description found on right clicking is usually added to separate section outside of infobox, "Game description" or "Item description".

If you check the Vranh'ko Quintessence Set page, you can see that there is already in-game description present for Tzenkethi Retrofit Armor (if individual item is part of the set, it doesn't have its own article). You can either add infobox directly there or create separate page Tzenkethi Retrofit Armor/Info which also add hover functionality (in most cases). Good work on pages you made so far - let me know if you have any questions on this. --Damixon (talk) 00:17, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't know that... Sorry for the misunderstanding! I'll definitely do it right from now on! Shadowslasher410 (talk) 00:22, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

No problem, glad I could help. It is something people agreed on years ago, but it isn't mentioned in any guidelines (afaik). Feel free to ask anything. Also, you can sign your comment with --~~~~ (or click the third icon on the Advanced tab, just after B and I) --Damixon (talk) 00:39, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

Bot Ideas[]

News Stuff
  • Automatically copies all content with the sto-news tag from the arc games website to the wiki, creating a new page with the content. Will do the same for the content with the tag sto-patch-notes.
  • Scans the text of news articles (from above) for dates/times. If the bot finds an event (defined by the presence of a starting date and an ending date), it will add the event's starting date and ending date to the calendar on the main page.
  • Scans the forum posts for news made in the official forums and checks whether they have a [pc] or [console] tag on them. If so, designates them as console-only or not.
Featured Stuff
  • Manages and rotates data used for featured images/Did you know/etc. --Shadowslasher410 (talk) 23:25, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

It would be useful to have a bot maintaining events on main page. How advanced would its involvement be, can you adjust it to not just copy/paste stuff, but also format it in the way editors are currently doing it? Release notes pages mostly require copy/paste, but some formatting is needed too. "Featured images/did you know" are already rotated with each refresh so I'm not sure how can bot help here. --Damixon (talk) 02:46, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
Yup, I could make it do formatting. Also, for the featured stuff, I didn't know it was auto-rotated. This list is more of a brainstorm right now. Eventually, once we nail down what we want it to do, we should go to oOeyes and talk to her about it. There may be Gamepedia-specific restrictions on bots or something we don't know about.

More Ideas:

  • creates ITEMNAME/Info pages for items that have an infobox but no tooltip
  • Deletes Duplicate Files
  • Deletes Redirects
