The Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort is a Rear Admiral (Tier 6) Escort. This vessel was available to players of all factions during the 2016 Lohlunat Festival on PC and the 2017 version of the event on console after completing the Mission: Flying High or purchasing special packs from the Lobi Store to earn [Lohlunat Prize Vouchers]. 1,000 are required to purchase the Escort via the reputation system. Once obtained, it is unlocked account-wide.
Overview
The Risian Hospitality Association has partnered with the Lobi Crystal Consortium to offer a Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort. The Xyfius-class offers the latest breakthroughs in advanced automation options to harass enemy ship commanders. The Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort was designed to pursue, cripple and destroy its targets. The Xyfius is quite durable for a ship of its class; this durability comes at the cost of reduced maneuverability.
The Xyfius Heavy Escort was a vessel utilized by the Vorgon during the Temporal Cold War, also known as the 'Xyphius' and, until the actual Vorgon name of the class was learned, the 'FNORD-class'.
At some point during the Cold War, the Vorgon have sent agents into the past who, for reasons yet unknown, left behind data plans for a Vorgon Xyfius-class Starship on Risa. These plans were recovered, later, in the 25th century by the Alliance agents working for Qwen.
Among the found schematics were starship deck plans, auxiliary system files, defense data, power and weaponry schematics. These data plans were so detailed that the Alliance could, with enough manpower, build this class of starships by themselves.
The Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort also features the Vorgon Bridge.

Hull strength
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "@". for the Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.

T6-X upgrade
By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort may be upgraded to T6-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.
Notes
- Alternate 'Xyphius' spelling is found in the ship tailor.
- Until the 6/23/16 patch, the Vorgon Ship Schematics found during “Sun, Sand, and Scavenging” were labeled "Vorgon FNORD-class Starship", then they were changed to 'Xyfius', implying that they're meant to be the same class of ship and the plans found artifact hunting are those used to build the Xyfius Heavy Escort the player could earn during the 2016 Summer Event.
- CBS disapproved of Cryptic's initial 31st Century FED designs and were eventually turned into the Vorgon ships.
