The Winter Tribble is a Tribble, a cute, round, furry creature that purrs when touched and has a tranquilizing effect on most races. This tribble seems to have munched on something festive that has modified its physiology. It seems well-adapted to the cold and seems quite playful, even for a tribble. This tribble has no fear of Klingons or other hostile species.

Petting this tribble will have the effect of slightly stimulating the body's natural ability to resist cold damage and improve your knock resistance. Additionally, during the winter holiday, this tribble can impart this bonus to your nearby allies. This effect can only be activated out of combat.

This tribble can only be bred by feeding a tribble special winter food consumables, obtainable from Neelix in exchange for a recipe found in “Winter Invasion” and ingredients scattered throughout Q's Winter Wonderland. Winter food and recipes can also be bought on the exchange. This tribble cannot be sold.
