- Until the release of Season Seven: New Romulus on November 13, 2012 the Hromi Cluster was the north exit of the Xarantine Sector; with the introduction of the Tau Dewa Sector Block the Cluster has been relocated into the Sector.
- Until the Galaxy Map revamp released with Season Ten: The Iconian War on April 21, 2015, the Xarantine Sector was located within the Pi Canis Sector Block.
- The "Xarantine" were established as a race resisting Klingon attacks in the mid 22nd century. In several novels, Xarantine is also the name given to the home system of this species. No other canon or licensed sources mention a "Xarantine Sector", though.
