After a Gorn ship attacks the I.K.S. Quv in 2384, Xrathis refuses to release the surviving warriors to return to the Klingon Empire, causing an increase in tension between the two powers. Two years later, upon Xrathis's death of natural causes, his son Crown Prince Slathis ascends to the throne.
